About Bahcesehir University
Bahçeşehir University is a foundation university opened by the Bahçeşehir – Uğur Education Foundation in 1998. The university, which was first located in the Bahçeşehir district of Istanbul, moved to the district of Beşiktaş with all its faculties for 2006-2007 academic purposes. “A World University in the Heart of Istanbul” Bahçeşehir University has 9 faculties, 4 institutes and 2 vocational schools.
Bahçeşehir University is a member of BAU Global Education Network. BAU Global Education Network is under education in cities such as Berlin, Toronto, Washington DC, Batumi, Cyprus, Hanoi, Kiev, Pueblo, Brockwille. With more then 20.500 students Bahcesehir University is one of the most chosen universities in Turkey.
There are 20,500 students, 10,137 of them being undergraduates and 4716 being postgraduates.
There are eight faculties: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Administrative and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Communication, the Faculty of Architecture and Design, the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine, plus one language school, two technical schools and four postgraduate institutes.
The primary campus is in Besiktas, on the Bosphorus coast, also identified as the Istanbul Strait. The four campuses are linked by a free boat shuttle service for both students and staff: Besiktas, Besiktas, Göztepe and Galata.
Istanbul is Turkey’s most crowded region, and the commercial, cultural, and historic hub of the nation. It straddles the Bosporus Strait (which splits Europe and Asia), with its economic and cultural hub on the European side and a portion of its Asian population.
