About Istanbul Medipol University
Istanbul Medipol University is a private, non-profit university established in 2009. Student enrollment for the students started in 2010. Four Vocational Schools have numerous associate degree programs in the financial, economic, environmental, and medical fields. With around 30.676 students in total and international students coming from 63 different countries Istanbul Medipol University is one of the most chosen universities among international students.
Istanbul Medipol University was founded by the Turkish Foundation for Health Education and Research and the foundation’s founder, Dr Fahrettin Koca.
Istanbul Medipol University as a modern, contemporary, trained, open, competitive and expanding university aims at offering young people new opportunities.
Across 13 faculties Istanbul Medipol University offers 71 undergraduate programmes. 24 Of the programmes are taught in English.
English taught departments: The Undergraduate Degrees are the International School of Nursing, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Business, Media, Education and College of Health Sciences, Law, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The university’s campus, called the “Vadi Campus,” is located in Istanbul’s Hamidiye District, which is very central location.
The campus, which spans 110,000 square meters, houses 19 educational and research laboratories. Medicine Hospital also acts as the hospital for Istanbul Atlas University’s Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry.

Requirements for Istanbul Medipol University
Min. Scores needed for admission at Istanbul Medipol University
- Turkey: high school diploma with a grade of 60 out of 100.
- Germany: At least 4 points in the Abitur.
- Iran: (Diploma Debirestan 15 out of 20, & Pişdaneşgahi grade 15 out of 20.
- French Baccalaureate diploma grade: At least 12,00
- Candidates from Syria who attended to Al Shahada Al Thanawiyya Exam need to have 180 out of 240 in the science section for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and, Pharmacy; for the other faculties, they need to have 170 out of 240.
- Jordan and Palestine: 70 in the science section of the Tawjihi exams which are held in Jordan and Palestine.
- Three A levels (one of them must be related to the department the candidate wants to study) on the GCE exams.
- ACT: at least 22 for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and, Pharmacy; at least 20 for other faculties
- Lebanon: At least 15.00
- International Baccalaureate Diploma with a grade of at least 30.
- Candidates who received gold, silver, and bronze medals in the International Science Olympics, participated by TÜBİAK.
- Candidates with a score of at least 480 out of 750 in the program type applied in the Gaokao exam which is held in the People’s Republic of China.
- Candidates who got at least 90 out of 120 in the National University Test in Kazakhstan.
- Libya: Al Shahada Al Thanawiya Exam need to get 180 out of 240 the Scientific Stream for the Faculty of Engineering.
- Indonesia: at least 60 from the Ujian Nasional Exam, which is held by the Indonesian Ministry of Education across the country.

Accommodation at Istanbul Medipol University
On Medipol’s Kavacik Campuses, there are dorms for 1850 girls and 570 boys. Rooms for 3 and 4 persons are available in the girls’ dormitory, while single and 3-person rooms are available in the boys’ dormitory.
